The WHIPPETS and The Young WHIPS for younger children and teenagers are our junior sections who produce their own shows and participate in the full productions, especially the pantomime.

In 2004 the WHIPPETS produced their own musical, Angels, written and directed by Mary Baum.

Most recently (March 2005) the Whippets performed the musical comedy HONK directed by Mary Baum with music by George Stiles and based on a book by Anthony Drewe. This musical comedy was winner of the Olivier Best New Musical Award in 2000 and is described as a modern version of the Ugly Duckling. The Production was by arrangement with Josef Weinberger.

Mary Baum directed and produced the most recent Young Whips production THE BOYFRIEND which ran from 31st January to 4th February 2006.

June Davey directed the Whippets production, FUNFAIR, which ran from 16th to 18th March 2006.

Lizzie Russell directed the most recent Whippets production, Skool and Crossbones * running from 15th to 17th March 2007 in WHVH.

Margaret Brazier is the coordinator for Young WHIPS and Whippets activities.
